family history PACKAGE DETAIL
All research begins at the person of your choice (ie yourself, parent, grandparent, Aunt, etc) or the choice of the person you are gifting a Family History Report or Gift Certificate to. For the purpose of illustrating what my packages include, the starting person will be referred to below as the "Named Person".
Gift Certificates
Help connect someone with their past by giving them a gift certificate up to any value (the relevant sum is paid for in full in advance). Certificates are personalised and printed on high-quality card and paper with a wax seal. They may be redeemed against any of my services and are valid for twelve months. The finished product doesn't need to be complete at the point of gifting, and as family history research can take weeks, these are ideal to give as a last-minute present or for Birthdays or Christmas so your loved one knows what's coming!
Bespoke and Hourly Research
Tailored to your requirements, this is an ideal option if you would like me to work with small or non-standard commissions, for me to validate a family tree, or you simply need help for any single brick wall you may have hit whilst carrying out your own family history research.
Bespoke packages and ad-hoc hourly rate commissions are quoted individually once your full requirements are understood. Billed on a pay-as-you-go basis this option is useful if you want research in small stages and to keep costs in control.

Starter Package

This package has been created as a great introduction to family history by researching one surname back two generations for your "Named Person", and gives a taster on what can be uncovered.
This is an ideal package if you have hit a brick wall on a branch of your family history and need help with researching further back.
It's also a perfect gift idea for your loved ones for special occasions such as an anniversary, Christmas, birthday, or christening.
This option includes Family History Charts, 5 certificates and a Family History Report

Two Parent
Study
£295
This package builds upon Bronze+ and researches both the maternal and paternal line of your "Named Person", going back two generations for two surnames, and uncovering all four Grandparents for the "Named Person".
Typically this would trace a family history back to the early 1800s although this isn't always guaranteed.
This provides Family History Charts, up to 10 certificates and a Family History Report
One Surname Study
£450
This package traces one surname for either the maternal or paternal line of the "Named Person", taking them back four generations. It is an extension to the Bronze+ package which only takes the line back two generations and uncovers one of the "Named Person's" Great Great Grandparents. This typically takes the family back to the late 1700s.
This package provides Family History Charts up to 15 certificates and a Family History Report
One Grandparent Study
£650
Research is carried out on one of the "Named Person"'s grandparents and focuses on both their maternal and paternal line tracing back to four generations of the family and including four Great Great Grandparents. This builds upon what is already delivered with the Silver+ package.
This package provides Family History Charts, up to 20 certificates and a Family History Report
Two Grandparents Study
£875
Research is focussed on a single couple, usually one set of the "Named Person's" grandparents on either the maternal or paternal line, and provides information up to four generations of the family giving eight different surnames.
This package provides Family History Charts, up to 30 certificates and a Family History Report

Seize Quartier Pedigree Study

Research is focussed on both sets of the "Named Person's" grandparents, so four grandparents in all, and provides information up to four generations of the family from the "Named Person" up to sixteen Great Great Grandparents, which is sixteen surnames.
This package also provides a Seize Quartier Pedigree, Family History Charts, up to 40 certificates and a Family History Report

The Ultimate Family History Package

Providing you with a comprehensive family history from the "Named Person", back four generations, this package includes everything in the Platinum package PLUS the siblings of the descendants of each Great Great Grandparent and documents such as wills where available, together with an enhanced Family History Report. 8 Drop Line Pedigree charts and up to 50 certificates, and this usually takes up to 10-12 weeks of research.

One Branch
Full Study
£300*
This add-on provides a full study into one surname in greater detail and back four generations. Research would go prior to 1780s where possible, and include siblings, spouses and children. Other searches include wills, parish documents, directories, newspapers, criminal records, manorial records, military, education and occupational records. An enhanced Family History Report is provided and this usually takes between 8-12 weeks of research.
Location Study
£250*
Are you interested in the locality in which your ancestors lived, the social and economic conditions they would have experienced, and the jobs they did? Choose one address from a census record, where your direct ancestors lived and from census records, tithe map records, directory and electoral records I will be able to provide who lived there, who their neighbours were, what their occupations were and the type of neighbourhood in which they lived.
Siblings and Drop Line Pedigrees
£50*
For all packages from Bronze+ through to Platinum, if there is an ancestor who you wish to include siblings for, choose this add on which is valid for one person. Purchase this add-on multiple times if you wish to include siblings for more than one ancestor. This is included in the Platinum+ package so an add-on isn't required. For all packages the same add-on is available if you'd like me to include the spouse and any children of any sibling included in your standard chart, Drop Line pedigrees will also be provided for each surname included as part of this add-on.
